The GammaView is useful for performing surveys and measurements of gamma radiation fields in the environmental. The range is from μR/hr level, up to 5 mR/hr. The standard GammaView utilizes a 1x1 NaI scintillation detector for high sensitivity, in a lightweight ergonomic package. Calibrated against Cs-137 (662 keV), the GammaView is sensitive to low-energy gamma down to around 30 keV (I-129). The GammaView can be used as a single-channel analyzer (SCA). This function allows a “window” to be set to focus on a specific energy region of the gamma spectrum. This setting can be changed by using the Observer USB software. Averaging Periods
Display updates every 3 seconds. At low background levels, the update is the average for the past 30-second time period. The timed period for the average decreases as the radiation level increases.
Anti-Saturation
Meter will hold at OVER RANGE in fields as high as 100 times the maximum reading.

USB for use with Free Observer USB Software for PCs, Bluetooth for use with the Free Observer BLE App for Android.
Count Light
Red LED flashes with each radiation event.
