The NORM-PKN includes the DSM-525 dual probe, alarming scaler and ratementer, the HP-265 Pancake Probe (CPM) and GSP-1 NaI Scintillation probe (Dose Rate). The utilization of two probes is ideal for detecting NORM and TENORM radiation. The Pancake and Scintillation probes are both connected to the instrument simultaneously, allowing the user to effortlessly swap probes, at any time without having to disconnect or power down. The instrument features a large digital display, scaler function (counts per unit of time), display error indications, and audible/visual Alarms. Scaler time internal and alarm thresholds are user-adjustable. For those who prefer a flatter energy response in the scintillation probe, we recommend the NORM-PKP.

The GSP-1 Scintillation probe is useful for moderate energy gamma survey at the microR level. Energy response ranges from 50 keV to 2 MeV. The GSP-1 will function well with most survey meters, ratemeters, single channel analyzers, and multi-channel analyzers. This scintillation detector is commonly used with Johnson Nuclear Survey Meters. This Sodium Iodide probe features rugged aluminum housing with magnetic shielding. The BNC connector allows for easy field replacement.
