Cobolt-57 Source for Gamma Cameras
Perflexion is the industry's only flexible flood source. The design was developed in response to customer feedback. The Perflexion flood source lies flat for calibration use, but rolls into a compact cylinder for storage. This provides the most convenient, ergonomic flood source and case with optimum shielding protection. The user can fold, bend, crush this material without deforming or damaging the source. The flood sources will not crease, crack, flake, or tear over time. The polymer formula ensures that the source will return to flatness after being stored in a rolled configuration. EZIP has performed extensive fatigue testing on the polymer. Perflexion shows integrity and uniformity through several working lives of use.
The optional compact portable case is shielded with "Wolfguard". The WolfGuard tungsten composite, used in the Perflexion case provides adequate shielding for storage. The surface measurements outside the shield are typically 0.07 mR per hour per mCi Co-57. The external field is low enough that the case can even be stored in the camera lab. The compact profile allows for storage in small spaces. The WolfGuard shield is about 17 lbs. When packed in its wheeled storage case, dimensions are 10”x11”x25”. WolfGuard is HAZMAT friendly. The tungsten composite eliminates concerns about the use of toxic lead shielding in a hospital environment. Match your camera with the appropriate model.
