Borated Polyethylene: a boronated plastic material used for neutron shielding, available in4'x8' sheets at 5% boron content. Thicknesses include one inch, two inch and three inch. The table below lists common thicknesses, sizes with prices.

Our borated polyethylene features high cross-sectioning for consistent neutron attenuation. This product is commonly used in naval vessels, radiation oncology, medical vaults, doors for linear particle accelerators, research applications, nuclear reactors and construction of nuclear-powered vessels.

Borated Polyethylene can be cut, machined, drilled, or tapped as with pure polyethylene. The green 1" x 4' x 8' material is first choice for most applications. All sheets sold, full size. Cutting is an extra charge.

Our product comes in three sizes: 1 inch thick, two inch thick, and three inch thick. Each 1 in  x 4 ft x 8 ft sheet weighs 165 lbs. Skid used for shipping weighs approximately 150 lbs. and is 4'6" x 8'6" x 5' high.

High density sheets of polyethylene (non-borated) are also available.
